Face Painting
So I’ve been getting calls from quite a few companies/people since my 2 nights at CocoLatte.
some requiring a makeup artist, some need someone who can set up a booth for henna or glitter tattoo’s at their company’s DnD. some even for a NGEE ANN prom night! lol..Also one lady from MOE (ministry of education) had called regarding a carnival of some sort for kids and a face painter needed. So she asked for my portfolio.. i sent her whatever pics i had. Then realized, if more ppl are gonna ask , i had better start building up my portfolio. At current stage, i only have few fotos that are professionally taken.So anyways, Nadia brought shafia and shannah’s two ADORABLE kuzzinz over for face painting. So thats 3 new pics for my portfolio

Halloween Makeup @ CocoLatte
Yesterday night was SUPERB!!! i loved every second of it!!It started off with my daddy droppin me and my bags of makeup at Gallery Hotel where me n anjali made our way to coco latte. My darling jaci baby greeted me at the door where she settled me down at one corner and i began with the makeup for the staff. Sorry no pics of those cuz i immediately started wsorking on them but they’re such friendly matts ..lol n they loved their zombie, dracula and bloodhsot wounds.. so that was enough for me =] plus anjali being the pig she is, felt hungry and ordered wedges and was happily eating them by herself one corner!So when i first walked in, i thought,,. this place is SMALL! and then i was told the main dance floor was upstairs. and slowly the crowd REALLY started pouring in! And then it all began!People wanted scars, cutwounds, bulletwounds, temporary inked faces, scratches.. EVERYTHING!!i was obviously busy but by the time anjali came to her senses… she took my camera n started snapping away

and to remember the night (apart frm the manager being so impressed with my work and the crowd that he ended up patying me MORE of what was expected!!) these pics and experience.. lasting a lifetime =]

Diwali Show at Mediacorp (Vasantham)
Exhaustion!!Rehan (Head M.Up Artist of mediacorp) had asked me to come by again on the 7th October to help out cuz there was a bigger group involved that needed makeup for their Deepavali Show. But i didnt think id see soooo many familiar faces!Nadia, Kiran, Bhavani, Suzie, Powder, Juju,Naga, Suman, Saerah, Deen, Bala, Devrajan..etc And it was so tiring having to bend and apply makeup fer everyone. Understood thats the guys makeup took no more den 2 mins, bt i was incharge of all the Models..(there’s this hindi girl whu sings a kabhi alvida na kehna song for the show and the 4 models r part of it)Of course my gorgeous Nadia was one of em models.. n she told me she wanted me dng her makeup n from there, so did the other models..lol.There were so many other ppl i did makeup for, guys and girls… including some normal stars u see on Vasantham.. cept i dunno their names.. elamaran?? lol.. oh well..But it was fun.. especially watching them during reocordings.Hehe.. i know d show before uuuuuuuu! =D

I cant believe what is happening!
Before i met anjali yesterday, i was at work when i got a phone call. Remember one of my previous entries abt Fazila, my close friend frm Pri/Sec School? (ms vasantham one) callin abt makeup? So it seems the HEAD MAKE UP ARTIST of MEDIACORP needed help for some function and fazila happily gave my name n number. So imagine my shock when i got a call yesterday from the lady. So told me she needed my help for a shoot Vasantham Central was doing for Deepavali and i would get paid for my work. I said YES! nt for the money,. bt for the once in a lifetime experience.Then she broke my heart by saying i had to meet her at 630am at Mediacorp!…Goodbye sleep..she also asked me to bring another friend who could hep with the makeup so i asked mizah cuz i know frm class that she’ one of the good ones. So mummy sent me today morning, lugging with my huge cosmetic box and i wanted for the HeadMakeupArtist, Rehan to come. She then took me to exchange my IC for the pass and took me upstairs to set up my stuff. thats when mizah tells us she FORGOT to bring her ic!! She couldnt enter.. poor chap had to go back..so i went upstairs.. and thats when i got the 2nd shock!I WAS ABT TO DO MAKEUP FOR RAMESHWARA N SANGESHTRAZ DANCE GRP FOR A “MUSIC VIDEO” TO BE AIRED ON TEEVEE!!How does one nt get exciteD??So i did the makeup for the girls, and then she made me do aaaaall the guy’s makeup too. ive done guys makeup for the nUS pageant before bt it was weird dng for ppl you’ve seen dancing on stage..lol
So then i was taking a break and turned my back, and looked out the window when a guy from behind needed makeup and called out “umm.. excuse me?”i turned… whu was it..??SHABIR…we both were stunned! He looked at me “Eh! What u dng herE??”lol.. it was hilarious..So i had to do his makeup too and we started talking abit and catching up on good times So he’s the singer together with sum other girl, and the 2 dance grp’s were also in d vid.Once the makeup was done, Rehan said to pack up. We had to follow them to their location where their viedo was to be shot, to stay there for touch up’s etc..and of all places.. where is their location??… MOS
Again we exchanged our ic’s for the pass. (nobody let me take photo’s!)And we went up to one of the hugeass rooms and they slowly set everythng up and practised.. and practised… and practised…But it was some good stuff =]Infact.. Rehan was happy with my work that she’s asking me to come back on the 7th of October again. Cant wait =]

My results , theory n practical exam.This would make or break my dreams of being a professional makeup artist.My younger brother kept begging me to open it up fast cuz he was waiting excitedly too! =D
So i slowly opened the folded paper…
and…
I SCORED A DISTINCTION!!!! *faints*omg..
i need air!!
omg.. like no fukkin way….!
