Makeup for Pradhana Vizha
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
So Rehan (head makeup artist of Vasantham) had called me last month to ask if I could help out with makeup for the Pradhana Vizha and I was all excited about cuz I know I’d be definitely bumping into old friends.
I took the day off from work cuz I didnt fancy the idea of lugging around my hugeass cosmetic box all the way to work and leaving halfway thru. So basically my day started at 12pm.
I was finding my way there when i took the wrong turn n tried to open a door but couldnt and suddenly the door swung open, NEARLY smashing my face! I was stunned! Who was it? Shabir… he was like “omg sorry sorry!” then he looked at me “EH! How are you??”
Pffft…i smiled and replied. and soon after i managed to find the room. Rehan was no where in sight so I stayed in the MakeupArtist Room at Mediacorp, with the other makeup artist before we got any instructions. Amongst the makeup artist, were these 3 people I had never met before.
A super friendly girl called Hidaya, who was frm The School of Makeup. We went on discussing the pro’s and cons of the different cosmetic schools we were in (or i was in).
Then there were these 2 indonesians. Suji, the really hilariously funny girl who spoke with a strong indonesian accent but was like a huge party animal and kept cracking jokes. When i asked her how old she was, she said she was 31! I was super shocked! And she’s a mother of THREE! Nooo way! She’s bloody hot~! lol
And then came another guy donned in Channel frm head to toe! He said to call him “ashley” or “channel” so i called him Ashley =]
I was really glad that even though the Pradhana Vizha makeup was super tiring (like the Diwali show i did), atleast i had a funny bunch to keep me sane.
In the makeup artist room, there was a Teevee frm which we could see the recording going and their rehearsals. I’m not gonna say what SUPRISES are gonna happen during the show cuz its obviously hasnt been aired on tv, not till tonight atleast.
It was fun having people say “Ehh sarah! what you doing here??” or “I recognize you from the Diwali show..can you do my makeup?” LOL, a makeup artist can never be happier when the people who she did makeup for, remembers her and still admires her work =]
So we were there till about 10pm and we were all totally shagged out.
Of course i couldnt possibly take shots while we were all rushing to do makuep, but in between and after, we managed to snap A FEW shots..
So here’s for your viewing pleasure.

Hilarious bunch of dancers who kept us comapny after their performance till we left.
Fazila was telling me their Suresh’s dance group or something

Yea, you can sooo see how my heels didnt help one bloody bit.. LOL

Saerah and Sarah

Pre-Shooting for Pradhana Vizha
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
Saturday morning I rushed to Selegie for threading class. I had to push it up to 1130am cuz I had to go down to Mediacorp again to do makeup for Vasantham’s Award thingie. Pradhana Vizha ? Well not the actual thing, the pre-shooting.
I basically was brought to a bloody cold studio where Elamaran was to do pre shooting for the Pradhana Vizha and i had to do his makeup plu standby for touch ups. That ended about 7ish and i was exhausted.
Such a friendly chap. At one point he came to where i was seated (i was trying so damn hard to stay awake in the bloody cold studio) for touch up and he was sooo tall…i kidded and said “I wasnt blesses with your height ,you know” and he laughed and said sorry n bent a lil lower so i could reach his face properly. LOL im such a shorty! bt it always happens la. even when i did devraj’s touch up during the diwali show… cept i didnt say anything, he just bent down himself LOL pffft.. oh well
