Philips Active Crystals Launch

What happens when you combine electronics and fashion together? A cool, new gadget! Philips and Swarovski teamed up to form a series of crystal gadget collection called the ‘Active Crystals’ series.
Last Thursday, Philips launched the Active Crystals Series @ Fashion Bar. And I was very glad to be part of it.
The launch, held at the suave Fashion Bar involved, four gorgeous models, showcasing the items, while distibnguished guests and media watched on.
Apart from the catwalk, host Angela May, also informed the guests that there were pampering services available for them. Since the crystals frm Swarovski was all sparkly, they decided to make do with that as the theme fo the party.
So there were three mini booths for glitter services.
One being airbrush tatto-ing with glitter, which I believe EVERYONE loved. Also, glitter manicures, and glitter makeup services. Thats where I came into the picture. Apart from doing the makeup for the four models, and the hostess Angela May, I offered glitter makeup to the guests. This involved glitter liners, adding rhinestones to their faces, eye area, and shimmers.
Anyways, here are some photos. I will upload more once I get them from the main photographer for that event.
The makeup I did for the models. Since the theme was Sparkly, I was informed to do loud colours, with rhinestones. And EVERYONE knows i LOVE loud colours! =D
Mizah has always been around when I need someone to assist me in hairstyling.

NDP 2007 (Makeup for Participants)

Today, we ALL let out a huge sigh of relief. It was all finally over. And even though it was exhausting as hell, it was an awesome time spent doing what we loved, and with the people who’s company we truly enjoyed.
Of course I’m referring to today’s National Day Parade. For the past few weekends, me, being an ex-cosmoprof student, volunteered to help out with the makeup for the thousand voer participants. Each time we went, we would complain about being so tired, or about how our backs were aching from hours of standing and bending, or how the children annoyed us by smudging away our hard work. But , the next day at NDP rehearsals, we all showed up again =]
THIS, is what examplifies PASSION. My passion for makeup, cosmetics, beautifying..
And its pretty amazing how I never realized this was my passion, up till last year, when an Aunty took note of my eyeshadow and told me that i should pursue makeup at a cosmetic school. If she, and my family and friends, hadn’t been supportive in this matter, I’d probably be doing what i love second best… being a teacher. =]
Anyways, here are some photo’s from today’s NDP that i thought I’d share.
(Oh and by the way, there were alot of camera men and photographers around us while we were doing makeup, so if anyone catches us during the NDP telecast on tv, let me know k!) =D
