More pics from today’s NDP Rehearsals makeup
Me , Su, Nancy - The three makeup aritsts for the Artists of NDP 08
Ok story behind this pic. They wanted to interview me (the makeup artists) cuz uhhh, well apparently I was the only one amongst my other makeup artists friends who had birhgt makeup on and they wanted to ask me qns on makeup n how it was doing NDP’s makeup and to be aired on TEEEVEEEE!! I declined… I’m too camera shy!! I’m not the sort that wants to be seen on TV! =/ LOL but even though I managed to escape that, I will still be on tv (for a weee bit!) cuz whilst I was doing Mathilda D’Silva’s makeup, the camera crew recorded me doing her makeup

Thushaa is a lovely young lady from Toronto, and just like most girls out there, she’s aspiring to be a professional makeup artist some day. She’s a member of my Facebook “Sassychix Makeup” Group and recently left me a message asking if she could feature me in her beauty blog. Thushaa, if you’re reading this, I’m truly flattered
Thushaa did a mini interview with me and will be posting it up on her beauty blog soon. Currently, she has featured another young lady passionate about makeup.
(Read more: http://believe-beauty.blogspot.com/)
and she mentions this in the end of that entry:
Check out Thushaa’s beauty blog: http://believe-beauty.blogspot.com/
Her blog is still pretty new but give it time and I guarantee it will be filled with tips and tricks of makeup. She already has a tutorial up for smokey eyes!
Thushaa may be an aspiring makeup artist but just like I told her, she definitely has the talent and passion. And in no time, she will make it big
To all you lovely ladies out there, young or old.. Passion has NO age limit! If whatever you do makes you feel happy, then do it.
Life’s way too short for regrets.
All you really need is a lil faith in yourself, to get yourself out there and pursue your dreams.

Most of my clients don’t really want me taking photo’s of the makeup I do and putting it on my blog cuz they prefer to be more private about it, but this young lady was thrilled about me taking her photo, so I decided to share it with you dolls ![]()
Sassychix Makeup Class (Batch 4)
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
Firstly, I’ve had a couple of people asking why I do not provide a certificate for my classes. Reason simply because I am a freelance makeup artist and not from any organization or company.
However, like some academies, I provide what is better known as “internship”, except this is not extending over a period of time.
Let me explain.
Once graduated from my class, I tend to call up girls to join me when I am doing makeup for events. This is mainly because during the lessons, I am able to see your works and know your standards.
Especially since you girls don’t have a certificate or diploma and some people require documentation to hire someone for makeup.
So far, I’ve invited a couple of my students to help me out with events such as doing makeup for a school’s grand play.
And also to help out with makeup for SuriaChannel, Mediacorp.
So eventhough I may not be providing you with a cert,
You may end up with something better..
A hands on experience that not everyone has a chance to fulfil.
Also a little update with regards to price since a few have mentioned this.
If you join with TWO or MORE friends, you only pay $350.
Instead of the usual $380. Of coruse the goodiebag is still yours as pernormal with the same items.
Feel free to drop me a message if you have any queries.
It’s already the month of July (How quick time passes!)
and if you’re joining the 4th batch, it will begin on 16th August 2008.
Payment has to be made by End July so I can gather items for the goodiebag.
So drop me a message to confirm your seats
Take care

Vaunt III Fashion Event at MOS
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread, events
Couple of weeks back, I was asked to do makeup for Ace Chia’s models at the fantastic event, VAUNT3 @ MOS.
The Youth Empire’s , VAUNT III- The Ministry of Fashion. Our very own Singapore Young Fashion Designers’ Awards was held on the 17 June at MOS. For one night only, the boldest and most fearless fashion pieces of 10 upcoming young designers adorneed the sizzling bodies of 20 of our hottest teen models in the most glittering and iconic Young Fashion Designers’ Awards of the year. With special guest appearances from Singapore’s Local Artistes as Judges, The Hip Hop Crew , and the transformation of Pure Room into an Exclusive Love Labyrinth and all things Jetstar Asia.
Makeup by me, for models Jessalynne Woo and Khairudeen Md.
And the bold and fashionistic outfits were designed by Ace Chia.

Thank you Ace Chia & Mabuk for the Photos
