Appointed as MakeupArtist for Media (NDP 2008)
Every year, I (and a couple of my batch girls) volunteer our services during the National Day Parade (rehearsals and actual day). From 12pm to 8pm, we all work on the 1000+ participants, adding colours, glitters and shine to their faces. It’s always been a pleasure for us, no matter how hectic and tiring it may be. Because not only are we all doing what we love , but also it gives us girls an opportunity to catch up with each other! This year again I was called by Cosmoprof, asking if we wanted to volunteer our services and I instantly agreed. However, I was taken by surprise when the lady who called, mentioned something else.
She gave me a huge shock, (which I am still recuperating from!) that froze me instantly but also couldn’t stop me from smiling with glee.
She said she needed me for all 5 days of the rehearsal (and the actual day) because they wanted me to do the makeup … not for the participants… but for the ARTISTS!!
I literally froze for a few seconds before agreeing to what she said.
