BROWS 101
I’ve been asked many times, how I do my brows, how I manage them, etc.
So today I’m letting you in on my tips/techniques!
I guess I’m blessed that Im Indian, so I have thick hair! Thus my brows are pretty thick too! But they have come a LOOOONG WAY!
They used to be more thicker when I was younger, but eventually, after a teeny accident with a threading encounter, my brow shape became thinner. But in a way Im glad cuz I prefer having them this current size now:

So how do I manage my brows?
First off, Threading
For those of you who are not familiar with the term threading :
Threading is an ancient method of hair removal. A pure, thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled over untidy hairlines, moustaches and so on, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing where a single hair is pulled out each time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in a straighter line. However, due to a larger area of hair being removed at once, it can be quite painful for some.
My highly recommended threading salons:
Rupini’s @ Orchard (TEL: 67386261 )
Vanessa Beauty Salon @ Buffalo Road (TEL: 6293 9306)
Threading is not just restricted to Indians. These days, its a very common sight to see anyone and everyone getting their eyebrows or upper lips threaded. Even MEN go to get their brows groomed!
Once you got your desired shape, you can proceed to the next step.
If you have enough hair, then you just need to FILL IN your brows.
If you dont have as much hair, or if you normally shave off your brows, then you need to DRAW them in.
For DRAWING them in, you can use eyebrow pencils, easily available at most beauty brands, and shops.
For Filling them in, you can use eyebrow powders.
Reason being because, it gives a mroe softer, more natural finish, rather than using a pencil which gives a more harsh line (good for DRAWING)
My HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED EYEBROW POWDER:

Red Earth Absolute Brows, Brow Perfecting Kit
I’ve been using this for MANY years now and I LOVE IT!
This kit comes with TWO powder colours. and a wax.
The two powder colours are a great idea cuz you can decide if you want the lighter or darker shade.
(**Alternatively you can use brown shades of eyeshadows but they wont necessarily be as lasting or waterproof as this**)
(TIP: DONT EVER USE BLACK FOR BROWS. Even if hair is black, NEVER use black. Its way too harsh)
Always opt for a DARK BROWN, unless tyou have a light hair ,then opt for a lighter shade of brown.
This kit also comes with cute little mini tools! An angled eyebrow brush, a tweezer, and a spool.
PERFECT as it is!
HOW DO YOU USE IT?
I choose the brow colour I want, dip the brush into the powder, then fill in the brows and then dip the brush in the wax, and go over the brows again. The wax, acts as a sealant to ensure the powder colour stays, and it is waterproof, so dont worry if you get caught in the rain!
WHERE TO BUY?
So far I have only seen these at SASA. They retail for abt $25 or $29.
This kit comes in TWO SHADES. Mahogany and Brunette.
