REVIEW: SHISEIDO Autumn/Winter 2010 (FACE PRODUCTS)
Three of the products I had received from the Shiseido Autmn/Winter 2010 collection, were face products:
Natural Finish Cream Concealer
Pore Smoothing Corrector
Refining Makeup Primer
NATURAL FINISH CREAM CONCEALER in #6 Honey

Any Makeup junkie, let alone professional, would know that certain colours counteract with other colours. This cream concealer has more of a salmon tone to it. These pinkish orange-ish tones are brilliant to counteract with blue undertones like those in dark undereye circles. This also helps with dullness on the skin.
If you’re a follower of my blog, you’d remember me mentioning my hideous dark circles MANY times and how its hard to get a good concealer and I eventually found 1-2 brands. But now it looks like I can add this cream concealer to the list of GOOD CONCEALERS too! after applying about 2 smooth layers, my dark circles were camouflaged! Now Im someone who takes concealer VERY seriously and to see my dark circles vanish before my eyes, I was definitely very WOW-ed! This Natural Finish Cream concealer, gets my thumbs up, for sure!
Now if you’re asking, “will it suit my skintone?” Just like any other concealer or foundation, Id strongly recommend you head down to the counters to test them out on your own skin ![]()
And if this shade DOESNT suit you, fret not, cuz this concealer comes in 5 other shades, ranging from LIGHT to DEEP.

Then comes two newer products,
PORE SMOOTHING CORRECTOR & REFINING MAKEUP PRIMER

PORE SMOOTHING CORRECTOR

So WHAT does this do, you may ask?
“Its a complexion-enhancing step that minimizes shine and imperfections. Achieve a flawless, matte, even-textured look with this smoothing, pore-minimizing formula”
I applied it on my face and I must say, I love the texture. I dont really see much of a difference on the skin tho, especially cuz I dont have enlarged pores.

REFINING MAKEUP PRIMER

Most of my ‘must-have’ makeup primers are gel/silicone based and thus colourless. So having to use a makeup primer that was slightly tinted, was a little new to me. But luckily when I applied it all over my face, it blended in nicely with my skin and didnt create an unsigtly patchy look.
Just like any other good makeup primer, this product will “minimizes the appearance of uneven skin tone, conspicuous pores and fine lines for an all-day luminous, natural-looking finish”.
I applied it on clean bare skin, followed by my normal routine of concealer and powder and all other basic makeup. And I was pleasantly surprised to see that by mid day, my makeup still looked fresh!
