TUTORIAL + REVIEW: PUPA “Bubble” Nail Art Mania
Caviar Nails…Fish Egg Nails…BubbleNails…
Various companies came up with various names for this specific kind of nail art that was a huge hit last year!
Ciate first came up with it (apparently… and then there was some huge fiasco with the name and other brands), and then it became a huge hit with many other brands. Just like how the shatter polish became a hit with other brands too.
So anyways I was in Watsons recently when I chanced upon these PUPA ‘Bubbles’ Nail Art Mania and thought it would be fun to try them, even though I knew I wouldnt last a day with them on
The kit contains one bottle of base colour (which you can use on its oen, even if you dont wanna use the “bubbles”) and one bottle of super pretty and colourful “bubbles” which really are just tiny tiny beads!

How pretty are the “bubbles” in various shades of pinks and purples! Reminds me of the Guerlain meteorites!

And voila!!!
Whilst I LOVE how pretty and cute they look, they’re totally not feasible, atleast not for me. The “bubbles” DO stay on pretty well unless u graze hard against them. But still, I wouldnt wear them out cuz I tend to be pretty rough with my nails, especially with all the typing I do for my blog, and trust me when I say, nails tend to be in the way ALOT when you are carrying a heavy bag!
But still.. super fun and cute!

Whilst makeupforever already has had green and purple aqua creams, these shades are different. The new GREEN reminds me of a mermaid green! Its a pearlescent shade with a hint of teal undertones.
And the purple isnt a bold purple, its a lovely irridescent purple!

COMPARISONS:

I must say this though, by the time I was done swatching every colour, and mixing and playing around with all the colours, and wiping them off with tissue and remover, my lips DONT feel dry at all! It still feels very moisturised, from the vitamin E, I suppose.
Now the lipsticks are extremely OPAQUE, as you can see from the swatches, and are really great for MIXING too!
