REVIEW: MakeupForever PanStick foundation
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
I have not only found my ALL TIME favourite PRIMER (MakupForever ALL MAT), but now I have also found a new love from MakeupForever! Its PAN STICK FOUNDATION!

I’ll be honest, stick foundations were NEVER up to my fancy. They are normally DRY, and always crease, and not to forget, very cakey on the face. But when I watched, one of my favourite Youtube Guru’s doing a short review on this MakeupForever Pan Stick foundations, I KNEW I had to give it a try.
I was pretty disappointed at the variety, not much shades. But lucky for me, I managed to find my EXACT MATCH! (PS: Don’t test the shades on your hand , test it on your JAWLINE for more accuracy. I was merely swatching the product for blogging purposes)

I have been using this for the past couple of days, with the MUFE ALL MAT primer below, and I must say, I LOVE IT!
I went for a barbeque party last night, I stood by the BBQ pit, and pespired for a while cuz of the insane heat. But when I went to check the mirror….
No touch ups were needed.
No under eye creasing.
No smudged makeup…
No dryness to my skin.
I am so amazed and SO in love with the TWO makeupforever products!
The foundation is now my new foundation (I used to use Bourjoius liquid foundation, but now Ive officially switched to this MUFE PanStick Foundation!)
If you’re the same skintone as me, Im using shade number 5W

MY THOUGHTS: The foundation is very CREAMY, not drying at all! Doesnt crease at the under eyes, especially with the help of the ALLMAT primer. Foundation stays on long, and doesnt dry up. It can be used with a wet or dry sponge, but I find it creamy enough to be used dry.
WILL I BUY IT AGAIN: You bet! I will be heading down soon to pick up more shades for the use on my clients!

Makeup Shopping = ♥ !!
First stop: URBAN DECAY!
UrbenDecay is one of the really famous brands, that FINALLY reached our shores! It was launched officially , yesterday, at Sephora. UrbanDecay is most well known for their PRIMER POTION which is a very well loved eyeshadow primer. Its retailing in Singapore for SGD32.00
UrbanDecay is available at Sephora Orchard ION and Sephora NgeeAnnCity
Currently, with the new launch of UrbanDecay in Singapore, Sephora is having a great promotion! You can buy ANY two products from UrbanDecay and you get a travel pack absolutely FREE!
The travel Pack includes some of their best sellers:

I picked up two items. One was a REALLY cute lipgloss! In the cap of the lipgloss comes a photo of a man. Tilt the tube back-and-forth to strip them to their undies! I bought one for my girlfriend for her birthday too! Super cute! Just don’t let your boyfrend/hubby catch you with this! ![]()

I bought a very neutral coloured one:

and it smells DELISH!!! I was with my girlfriends when I bought this and they agreed that it smells like MAPLE SYRUP! SO YUMMY!
I also bought this GORGEOUS teal liquid liner! The colour was SO intense!! I love it!
They also have a bright purple, which is to die for!

And these are the free gifts you will receive, when you buy ANY TWO ITEMS FROM URBAN DECAY

I also headed down to MAKEUPFOREVER to get some items:

Stocking up on ALL MAT. Brilliant primer! Click HERE for my review on this product

Their blushers always catch my eye! So this time, I decided to try one out! (#18)

Very pretty, light peachy tone, with golden undertone. SHIMMERY! ♥

I was watching a youtube video, whereby the guy was raving about these foundations from MakeupForever. and Im normally not a fan of stick foundations cuz they are always so cakey on the skin but these are really blendable. Very creamy and they dont cake up. They dont have a BIG variety of shades, but my indian gilrfriend who was with me, managed to find a colour for herself.
I was happy to get one that was an exact match to my skin too!

I also got a free lipgloss, and a free MakeupForever Calendar
(Spend $100 and recive the calendar free!)

Lastly, we went to MAC!
There are a couple of new BRIGHT colours at MAC, that were meant for PRO stores only but its now available at ALL MAC counters, islandwide! I bought two of those bright colours

Also got myself a big fluffy brush. I have an addiction to brushes!! ![]()

Do check out the URBAN DECAY COUNTERS at Sephora!! Im not too sure how long the free gift promo is on for, so just go down ASAP!!

POST REVIEW : MUFE All Mat & EA PureFinish MineralPowder
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
I’ve been using the MakeupForever ALL MAT primer and Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Mineral Powder, for the past week. and Ladies…. I LOVE these two products with all my heart!
I was very impressed how these products stay on my face the whole day! and the BEST TEST was recently on Saturday! It was my mummy’s grand 50th birthday and I had my makeup on FROM 7PM TO 1AM….We all had a blast, celebrating and dancing but the ONLY thing I touched up, was my lipgloss! Even my mum, aunt n sis, who’s makeup I did as well, mentioned how they were amazed that the makeup stayed put the whole night! I kept checking my mirror to check if I needed to touch up, but my foundation stayed FRESH AND my favourite part was the fact that the concealer didnt dry up or crease in the lines at my under eyes! !! The MakepForever ALL MAT helped the makeup stay on, and the ElizabethArden powder was brilliant cuz it stayed FRESH!
I love these two products. I REALLY DO!
Ive been using makeup for years, testing all sorts of foundations, concealers, liners etc. And as much as Im able to do makeup for others flawlessly, I always have issues with my own cuz of my hideous dark circles. MakeupForever’s ALL MAT is brilliant cuz it doesnt allow the concealers to sneak into any finelines under your eyes. It kinda creates this barrier so everythign stays smooth. The Elizabeth Arden powder is amazing cuz it has medium to high coverage, which is exactly what i need. I normally use MAC’s select sheer loose powder for my under eyes bt have to pack it on as the coverage isnt much. But with Elizabeth Arden’s powder, the coverage is good! just enough to cover small flaws, and not too thick to hide your skintone! I really think I’ve found my HolyGrail primer and powder!

REVIEW: ELIZABETH ARDEN Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread, events

Nothing beats coming home to a package! Especially a package thats got MAKEUP awaiting you!
Elizabeth Arden sent me Elizabeth Arden’s new Pure Finish Mineral Powder Foundation for a review.
The last time I got sent for an Elizabeth Arden product review, I wont lie, I didnt like the product. Ok well not that I didnt like it, I just never saw much (or any) results. So I didnt bother blogging about it.
But I was too darn excited to try out this new Mineral Powder! Infact, I got it yesterday evening and immediately used it on two ladies for their trial makeup. It was amazing! SO NATURAL looking! and today I started using it!! It comes with a really cute tiny brush, but PElizabethArden was sweet enough to send me the full sized brush too (OMG SOFT!) So I decided to keep the brush for the use on my clients and the lil powder puff for use on my own skin as I always prefer a heavier coverage.
Taken from media release:

You know how media releases of ANY product always makes you go “WOW” by just reading it, well rest assured, this powder PROOVES it too.

So basically its a pressed powder below this ‘grinder’, and you twist it, and the powder gets nicely grounded, so you get just the right amount, each time. I know when dealing with loose powder, it can get very hectic. Ive had instances when clients accidentally topple over my whole tub of loose powder and everything goes to waste. ![]()
So this little design is a very unique and waste-free design! I LOVE IT!

Do check out the Elizabeth Arden counters for your shades! My perfect shade was #2!! So fret not if you’re a lil darker/tanned, cuz they have up to shade #9!

DISCLAIMER: Product was sent to me for a review, and I did not pay for it. Im not obliged to say anything nice for the review, so whatever you read, are my own honest opinions.
MY THOUGHTS: I have been using MAC’s studio fix for pretty much all my makeup life (thats about the past 5 years?) and when I go to work on most days, I just slap on concealer and powder. and by mid day, 12pm, my skin looks oxidised and dry cuz Im in the airconditioned room. With this new Elizabeth Arden powder, I KID YOU NOT.. my skin looked fresh even at 5pm! I was AMAZED. I merely touched up my gloss and was on my way out. I will be continuing to use this for another week but so far, I like what I see. The only thing I DISLIKE is the size. TOO bulky to fit into most small sized makeup pouches.
RETAILING at SGD58.00
WILL I BUY IT AGAIN? YES! In fact I want to buy the various shades, darker tones especially to use on my darker/tanned clients! Im simply in AWE!

50% off Becca Cosmetics (Good variety of dark and light shades)
Posted by sarah | Filed under Daily Bread
I’ve always been drawn to BECCA cosmetics (owned their eye shimmer once , many yrs back) but their prices are pretty pricey!
ESPECIALLY in Singapore! So imagine my excitement when I saw a lil temporary Sephora station at SUNTEC CITY! YES, SUNTEC!
and its ONLY till 31st Jan 2010!! SO HURRY!!
They mostly had concealers and foundation sticks so I stayed there for a good 15 mins, finding an appropriate concealer shade for myself. and Also didnt wanna leave till I bought their foundation sticks! Mainly because they had a variety of shades, especially darker tones! And majority of my clients are darker skinned, so I picked out one darker toned foundation, and one much lighter one, for my own clients usage. Who knows, if I like how it turns out, I may end up buying more. But the price (without the discount) is a huge turn off!
So anyways, if you are of a darker/more tanned skin tone, i STRONGLY suggest gng down to SUNTEC CITY’S lil sephora atrium and go find a suitable shade! Concealer AND foundation! I cannot promise that you will get your shade but you may find something close
QUALITY wise, I “JUST” started using the concealer today and SO FAR i like it. But only time will tell
