MAC Naturally

I was invited for a MAC PRO demo for “WICKED”. If you havent already heard of Wicked, its an amazing international broadway musical that is now showing in Singapore, and practically everyone I know, has gone for it! Wicked is basically the “untold story of the Wizard of Oz“

At the demo, the makeup artist showed us how she creates ELPHABA‘s character, who is played by the lovely Jemma Rix.
We all were a lil tickled when we saw her using, what looked like a giant paint brush,to brush on green face paint onto the chracter!

MAC senior artist BENO LIM also did a demo, creating a wearable green look, inspired by the colours from WICKED

Whilst there, I noticed MAC NATURALLY was finally out! The full collection wasnt out at Robinsons so I headed to TANGS where the full collection(Except BLONDE MSF) was out

I got TWO items frm the new collection. The other two items (Mac FIXPLUS and LIQUIDLAST LINER were given to me during the MAC Pro Event)

Travelsized FixPlus is brilliant! I always carry the fullsize ones when I go for my photoshoots

Not a new item. Infact any colour-loving person who goes to MAC often, would have definitely seen this a million times. But STILL, I never get tired of this gorgeous turqoise/teal shade ♥

From the new MAC NATURALLY collection, I loved the nude lipsticks! everything was natural or nude. so PRETTY!!

and the REDHEAD MineralizedSkinFinish was SUPER pretty! LOVE IT! I used it on one of my bridal clients today and she was so thrilled to have glowy cheeks!

FULL BLAST 2012

If you were following my fanpage and twitter, you’d know since 2011 that Im the official Makeup Artist for the MISS INDIAN INTERNATIONAL 2012. But I must stress how EXCITINGGGGGG this event is going to be!

MISS INDIAN INTERNATIONAL 2012 is actually part of an even BIGGER event called FULLBLAST 2012!

What is FullBlast??
- Biggest Indian Dance&Music Festival in the history of Singapore
(Think of it as the Indian version of Zouk out! Indian version because its all about
our indian music, indian girls, indian dancing!)
- FullBlast is also a GUINESS WORLD RECORD ATTEMPT
- Its also a MOVE RELEASE gala Party
- Held at the F1 PitStop Building
- Dance Party featurng International DJ’s
- Dance competition
- Miss Indian Int’l 2012 Pageant, with gorgeous Indian girls from all over the globe

MakeupForEver LA BOHEME- Spring 2012

I got pretty excited when I saw the new MakeupForever Collection. MakeupForever doeswnt launch collections, as often as MAC does so I was thrilled to see something new.

The LA BOHEME Spring2012 collection contains:
EYESHADOW PALETTE S$59.00
EYELINER S$33.00
EYESHADOW PRIMER S$35.00
LIPSTICK S$35.00

What excited me most was… NOT THE EYESHADOW PALETTE,as you might have thought, but rather the EYESHADOW PRIMER! Ive never seen MUFE having an eyeshadow primer before so I got all excited because….well because MUFE is a professional quality brand, so an eyeshadow primer would probably be AWESOME!

Needless to say, after testing them out at the store, I bought TWO eyeshadow primers! I will do a review/nlog entry about it soon ♥

The lipsticks, are from the Rouge Artist range, but this one has a pretty coral design printed on the packaging.
I LOVE RougeArtist lipsticks, bythe way! Brilliant colour pay off and long lasting! See more swatches HERE

and then the eyeshadow palette….

I for one, wasnt too ehtusiastic about this because im not a huge fan of MSF eyeshadows or BAKED eyeshadows. For some reason, I just dont fancy the texture.

Sadly, they swatch very very lightly. I guess if you prefer a nice soft wash of colours, then this would be a good buy for you (and only S$59!). But if you know me, you know I love BOLD “in-your-face” colours! So I didnt get the palette

I-Nuovi Sale HAUL

For those who havent heard, inuovi is having a 50% off STOREWIDE sale.
There is only one Inuovi store left in Singapore, and thats at FarEast Plaza (#02-89)
The sale is from 19th Jan to 22nd Jan. And since 22nd Jan is the EVE of Chinese New Year, the store will only be open till 3pm

Defined brows using INGLOT

Your eyebrows, just like your hair, frames your face. Its important for everyone to have groomed brows. When I say groomed, I dont necessarily mean thin, high arched brows.
For me, I go threading regularly to get rid of any stray hairs, and to mantain the shape of my brows. But sometimes, the only way you can get that defined brow shape, is with makeup!

In this entry, you’ll see how EASY and effortless it is to DEFINE your brows.
Im using my new INGLOT BROW POWDER and INGLOT BROW WAX that I bought from www.inglotusa.com

Do note that you cannot buy them in the palette like this. I bought the empty 5-pan palette, and picked out TWO brow wax and THREE brow powders to put into the palette

Brow wax is generally not as opaque so dont worry if you feel the shade is too dark. The wax will not only help the brow powder to stay on longer, but also will keep your brow hair in place!
I prefer DARK brows so I opted for a dark brown wax

Using an angled brush, Just fill in your brows. Its also good to use the WAX to create the shape of the brows you want. Helps you as a guide

Then dip your brush onto the brow POWDER and fill in your brows, going over the WAX outline you have created. Dont forget you need to fill in the brows, not just create an outline.
Also, eventhough we have BLACK hairs, its always a better option to go for DARK BROWNS as black will appear TOO HARSH!

and VOILA! See how easy and fuss-free that was

HAUL: BobbiBrown / PIXI / Forever21 etc…

This is a rather FUN haul with some stuff ranging from lower end brands to high end brands!

Starting off with two items from the BOBBI BROWN Spring 2012 “NEONS&NUDE” collection

I only got TWO items because:
-EYESHADOWS (too washed out for my liking. The colours may look bold but they swatch very poorly)
-EYESHADOW PALETTE (uhhh S$99 for 6 shades? You’d be better off buying the UrbanDecay NAKED PALETTE)
-LIQUIDLINER (EXACT dupe of Mac Penultimate)
-BLUSHER (I prefer peachy tones, so I took the peach instead of the pink!)
-LIPSTICKS (all pretty much colours I already own, so I passed!)
-LIPGLOSSES (if i could… id get all but I restrained myself cuz I do have SOME similar ones!)

The gloss has a minty taste! YUM! great if you layer over a pink lipstick!

This photo doesnt do much justice, but its peachy with a hint of gold undertone! LOVELY!

So then I went to Forever21 cuz my GF wanted to buy a dress, and then I caught sight of some goodies! I love how the F21 store at ION has got such fun goodies and all in LEOPARD PRINTTTTTTTTTT!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

i LOVE this lash curler! its SO DAMN PRETTY!!! I actually first bought it at F21.com online and now im so glad its in Singapore!If you watch my youtube videos, you’d definitely recognize this cuz i use it in most of my recent vidoes! It IS a brilliant curler, Ive been using Shu Uemura and Shiseido lash curler for years now but I bought this for fun one day and have LOVED it eversince!! So i bought a 2nd one today!

Isnt it pretty?? everytime I take it out, someone asks me If I stuck on the rhinestones myself and when I say I got it for less than $8, they all get SHOCKED!
quick go buy one !!

These huge bronzers were $7 each and well..
i bought them cuz ….there was leopardprint!!! You know I have a soft spot for Leopard Print!

and it really is pretty big!! for only S$7!!

They also swatched really well. Very pigmented! Gonna try this out tmrw! ♥

and finally, I got some stuff from ACW!
i loooooooooooove ACW! been buying stuff from there for super long already!
ACW stands for All Cosmetics Wholesale! and they sell ALOTTTTTTTTT of makeup at a discounted price, ranging from MAC, to NARS, to OCC, and even SUGARPILL! Yes, an amazing variety of makeup!! YOu HAVE to check out ACW if you like a good bargain!

Picked up OCC’s liptar in PETTYBEIGE. Had this about 2-3 years back so I decided I wanted to try it out again. OCC, Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics has UHHHH-MAZING liptars, glitters, pigments. Not exactly the cheapest around, but good stuff!

with OCC liptar, a lil bit goes a long way!

the PIXI palettes are my FAVOURITE buy!!!
Super cute and small palettes, at only USD6.99
and OH-MY-GOD…the intensity of these eyeshadows!!??

Seriously in love with the PIXI palettes!
honestly guys, before they run out of stock, GO buy ALL their lil palettes!
SUPER cheap and SUCH brilliant colour payoff!

REVIEW: SEPHORA Smoothing & Brightening Concealer

Caught sight of this when I was at the NEW Sephora at vivocity, and was intrigued by it. It reminded me of the YSL Touche Eclat that I used to SWEAR by, ages ago!
I bought TWO shades that I thought were closest to my skintone.
(Sorry I forgot the price but I believe they are below SGD30 each)

What it is:
A collection of tinted concealers to hide imperfections, brighten dark circles, and smooth the appearance of fine lines.

What it is formulated to do:
Boost radiance, brighten the complexion, moisturize, and even out wrinkles in a single step. Light-reflecting pigments erase dark circles and signs of fatigue while hiding imperfections. Hyaluronic acid keeps skin hydrated and nourished.

Its super easy to use and I love such applicators, because it doesnt create a mess! and you dont get excess product spilled everywhere.

I mix these two shades, but if I dont need full coverage, then I just go for the darker shade.

One more thing I noticed about this, as I used it for the past few days, is that its somewhat waterproof!

It stays in place , even after leaving it under running water. But if you wipe it with a lil extra pressure, then it will come off, though not as easily.

It stayed on me all day when I used it 2 days back.
Its totally not drying, so it doesnt fill in your finelines.

Coverage wise, I still prefer Amazing concealer or LA Girl PRO HD for extra full coverage, but this is pretty closeby as it provides medium to full coverage if you layer it.

Small Haul: Inglot

Just a small haul from Inglot whenn Daddy went to KL few days back. I basically wanted to try out the NEW SLIM GEL Lipsticks!
Also managed to stock up on some others:

CANT do without this! This is my THIRD jar! I have one for myself, one for client use and one spare. I think this is the BESTEST best gel liner around! The most intense BLACK , and SUPER DUPER waterproof and smudgeproof. A MUST have!
