If you were following my fanpage and twitter, you’d know since 2011 that Im the official Makeup Artist for the MISS INDIAN INTERNATIONAL 2012. But I must stress how EXCITINGGGGGG this event is going to be!
MISS INDIAN INTERNATIONAL 2012 is actually part of an even BIGGER event called FULLBLAST 2012!
What is FullBlast??
- Biggest Indian Dance&Music Festival in the history of Singapore
(Think of it as the Indian version of Zouk out! Indian version because its all about
our indian music, indian girls, indian dancing!)

FacesBySarah for INVISIBLE-CHILDREN Charity
Few months back, I received an email asking if I wanted to be part of this First Annual Makeup Artistry Calendar. I was thrilled to hear that 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the calendars, would go to a charity called INVISIBLE CHILDREN. I thought it was a great project and at the same time,it was supporting a great cause.
So I just received the calendar in the mail last week!
and yes, thats right, 100% of proceeds go to the Invisible Children Charity!
The calendar basically contains photos of some of us beauty youtube gurus, makeup artists etc. I was pleased to see two of MY favourite youtube guru’s in the calendar as well!

Leila Lopes, Miss Universe 2011 winner, was down in Singapore for the Formula1 Grand Prix races and I did her makeup for her photoshoot.

Im pretty sure JEANYIP is a name that is well known with many Singaporeans. I remember back in my early teens I used to walk past JeanYip Salons and told myself I wanna go get my hair done there someday! I was so dumbstruck when I saw the entire place! It was such a breath taking view! and it looked more like the rooftop of some hotel!

Ok some of you may ask “WHAT?? $250 for a scalp mask?” Well, If you’re anything like me, you’d love to go all out and pamper yourself once in a while. All work and no plays…well you know the rest.
I personally felt like I was on vacation, throughout the whole time. Firstly because the atmosphere was so calming. Secondly, during the duration of my treatment, which took TWO HOURS, soothing tranquil tunes were played in the background and I was alone in the private hair spa corner. and the treatment? oh I just wanna go back again! I felt totally at ease, so much so that I dozed off a couple of times! It also helps that the lovely lady who tended to me, Pinky, was so good at the massage. Firm, yet not too painful. And when everything was over, I felt refreshed and energized..VERY energized! My family even asked me why I was so talkative and hyper that night and I told them it must have been the hair spa I went for!

And how did my hair look AFTER the treatment??
Will I go back again? Do I think its worth it? I think S$250 on a full scalp treatment, together with a shoulder, neck and back massage, followed by hair wash and blowdry, is most definitely invigorating and worth every penny. Im considering going back there this year end to give myself a TREAT since December is one of my busiest periods with bridals and other client appointments and I will surely need a break after December! I tried out the Cream foundation yesterday:
My overall thoughts:
Im a foundation junkie. Im VERY particular about foundations. When a foundation is a perfect match for my skin, it leaves me smiling with glee! But when the foundation doesnt match, it upsets me especially because I think my skintone represents the average medium beige skintone. So when I tested the foundation on my hand first, It looked like it wasnt gonna work for me but when I applied it and blended it out, it flawlessly blended with my skintone. and it didnt leave any weird “after oxidising” tone. So the CREAM FOUNDATION has definitely received a THUMBS UP from me so far. The BRUSH that comes along with the foundation, is probably a big key factor of the product but Im NOT a fan of using brushes to apply foundation so It doesnt really matter to me. I just use it to apply the foundation n and then I use my regular foundation sponges to blend out.
Ive yet to try the LIQUID FOUNDATION but so far I impressed with its creamy texture, and that the LIQUID n CREAM foundations come in a variety of shades, and the DARKEST shade, looks suitable if you’re a MAC NC45 shade, or darker. The loose powder however only came in 4 shades, and even the darkest shade looked a wee bit too white for me(see my swatch above). So I didnt bother using it on my face. Instead I brought it along for one of my magazine shoots and it was perfect for my fair model.

Changi Airport has been a familiar sight for me, ever since I was a little girl. My daddy’s a pilot and I fondly remember the days my mummy would bring us to the airport and wait for daddy to come through those glass doors, looking sharp in his Pilot uniform.
